Orca Island, Washington

We took a Ferry ride over to the San Juan Islands, we went to Orcas Island, WA. Tristan couldn't understand how the "fairy" was going to take our car over the water. The older kids tried to explain to him that there were two meanings to the word ferry/fairy but he didn't get it . So the tooth fairy took us to the island according to Tristan.


Exploring the beach at low tide, finding huge clams and sea shells.

On one afternoon we took a boat ride around the islands to go whale watching and we got to see Orca ie Killer whales and lots of birds. This is a photo of one of the light houses out on the island.

We were to slow to get any shots of the whole whale so this is the best shot we have to prove we saw these beautiful animals.
We also went hiking and exploring the beautiful forest and waterfalls on the island.

    What a great vacation, it is so beautiful. Someday we may get to see that beautiful country. I'm glad you had a nice time. Thanks for showing the pics!

    There's a reason Oregon and Washington are so green. It rains...a LOT. September is the best month to visit. FYI.
