Who knew going to the potty was so exciting unless your 3!

Yeah! Tristan is almost 100 percent potty trained, he heard from Santa what mommy wanted for Christmas ;no more diapers or pullups! It has taken a lot longer than any other kid, I guess that is partly my part in being lazy to push the issue.

On another note we are such bad parents, well maybe. Mikayla reported that the tooth fairy had not come to visit her last night. I guess the babysitters didn't think to inform us of the tooth loss so the fairy was a day late. She was just to busy to come the first night.

All I want for Christmas, are my two front teeth!

Mikayla lost one of her front teeth right before Thanksgiving and was so excited to have the tooth fairy come visit her. And her second tooth was very loose at Thanksgiving but she wasn't about to let anyone pull it out. In fact it was so loose it would stick out of her mouth. Just look at the great picture captured below at our family photo shoot. Good thing for photo shop to edit out loose front teeth sticking out! We all think she was going for Nanny McPhee.
Now two weeks later she has finally lost the second tooth and she can honestly say, "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!"

Where is my Christmas Tree?

Tristan has been wondering where his Christmas tree was and when he would get it ever since Thanksgiving when he saw lots of lights around the neighborhood. So we finally got a tree for Tristan, he is so excited. He even got "Christmas trees" outside...ie the decorated trees and bushes in the front yard.

We went to a tree farm and picked out our tree. They provide you with a saw and a sled to pull the tree back to your car with. The kids thought it was great to pull each other around in.
It was so cold!

Decorating the tree!

It Snowed TP!

We were the lucky recipients of the neighborhood TPing last night. I don't mind the TP, especially since I am guilty of doing it. It is all in good fun, but knocking on the person's door at 3:30 am and banging on the windows is where I draw the line. I am not a nice person when you wake me with a scare. The great thing is that they were dumb enough to come back 30 min later to ring our doorbell again and we were ready. Pat jumped out at them and scared the living daylights out of them...I don't think they will be back soon! Good thing Pat was home to talk me out of calling the cops or some parents would have been personally picking up their kids at 4:00a.m. Note the banana peel on the penguin. Silly kids.

Laundry anyone?

This is what happens to a family of six when you don't do laundry for 3 days. And there are still a load in the washer and dryer. Whew, I will have to find a good movie to fold all of it. This is why I won't be working on decorating for Christmas. That will be next weekend. After 10 extra people at our house we have to first find the floor before we can add more stuff to it :) Thanks for everyone that came we had a great time with you all.

Thanksgiving was never meant to be shut up in a single day

Thanksgiving was never meant to be shut up in a single day, so we just kept on cooking and eating for two days straight. I think we went through 5 pounds of butter at least! We had a typical Thanksgiving feast on Thursday and then had our own Chinese buffet on Friday courtesy of my sister in laws and her brother. It was delicious. Here are a few pictures of our Thanksgiving holiday celebration:
