Mount St. Helens, Washington

We went to see Mt St Helens. It has been 30 years since it erupted so they had lots of anniversary displays and celebrations going on. As you can see above the mountain was very cloudy and it snowed on us. It was very COLD!

We started off at the visitors center which is near a lake. We walked around it on the boardwalk.

Our family in front of Mt St Helen's...can't you see it! It was snowing lightly at this point.Mariah, Dillan and Mikayla on a dead tree that was toppled in the eruption of the volcano.
This area was pretty devastated. Only dead logs and a few low lying grasses have come back. As you go down the mountain range they have replanted a lot of the forest.
After our day of exploring Mt St Helens, we stopped at this cute cafe on the river and ate dinner. The kids loved watching the humming birds and playing with the dogs the most.
