Christmas Parties!

Mikayla and Tristan playing in the snow...we have had several snow falls in Nov and Dec but never more than a few inches.  The kids really want snow "you can sled in." or have snowball fights.
We started off the month of December with lots of parties.  The first weekend we had a party on base for EFMP (Exceptional Family Member Program) families.  It was a lot of fun.  They had crafts for the kids to do, a visit with Santa, and presents you got to choose from Santa.  It was a fun morning.
That night we had our ward Christmas party...it was nice to not have to cook dinner and have wonderful company.  I loved the break and the kids had someone to hang out with.

Just to make sure that we weren't bored during the coming week we had Dillan's holiday band concert.  He plays the trombone in the Jazz band and in the 9th grade band.  It was a wonderful performance and Grandma Hardy even got to attend!

I think my favorite Christmas party this season has been  a British Holiday party hosted by Deb Barry.  She is a friend that Patrick meet in Afghanistan at church when he was deployed there at least 7 years ago. She also served as a missionary companion with my best friend from high school Becky Blackburn Griffin.  Deb works for Save the Children and has traveled the world doing aid work.  She came to visit her friends in Utah and to see as many people as possible she hosted a Christmas get together in Mapleton...The food was divine and so fun to taste Christmas dishes from Britain.
