Winter Fun in the Ice and Snow!

Melissa walking through Midway Ice Castle
Patrick and I went away for a weekend in January.  We left the kids with Grandma and went to the Zermatt Hotel in Midway.  We went swimming, visited the Ice Castle and snowshoeing.  It was a fun weekend getaway.

We came back at night to see the castle lite up.
After we checked out of our hotel we went snowshoeing in Wasatch Mountain State Park...It was my first time.

The end of our weekend date!

A few weeks later in February we took the kids to see the Ice Castle.

The kids loved climbing in holes and crevices.

They had created a slide that went through the ice...all the kids went down!

After touring the Ice Castle we went ice skating just behind the it.  Patrick and Dillan just watched...Pat doesn't like ice skating.  It usually results in him breaking or hurting something.
Kayla, Mom and Tristan..Tristan mostly hangs onto the edge or me.

On President's Day I took three of the kids skiing while Patrick wrote a paper for Air War College.  We went to Wolf Mountain...a great place for beginner skiers.
